Security Alert: Beware of Fake Text Messages

We have reports of members receiving fake text messages impersonating Marine Credit Union.  Fake messages can often be detected by one or more of the following:

  • Poor grammar, misspelled words, or odd use of language
  • Claims there have been problems with your account
  • Promises of free cash or promotional items
  • Requests to verify your information

Do not click on links in a message unless you are familiar with the sender’s email address or phone number from which the message was sent. We will never ask for personal information via text, email or an outgoing phone call to you.
